“I’m as sunk as a Jap destroyer,” are the words from this original 1943 advertisement for Pullman Trains. Shown is a soldier waiting at a train station with luggage to travel. In the ad a soldier is going home to see his new baby but cannot find a place on the train to go home. The Pullman-Limited would have some cancellations and they would do all they could to accommodated soldiers like this.
A neat ad with a glimpse in the past. The ad is on a 10x14 page and in black and white. It is very good condition with nice detail. Any waves in the photo are the result of the scanner and do not appear on the actual product. Your ad will be sent protected by a plastic sleeve with backboard.
Vintage advertisements and articles are becoming more and more collectible for their nostalgia look and unique eye-appeal. They also are suitable for framing and are becoming more scarce as the supply of vintage paper products continues to decrease. Please note this is an original, vintage product advertisement and NOT a reproduction.
