This is an original 1943 vintage advertisement for a Vega PV-1 Navy land-based bomber plane by Lockheed. Operating from land bases, the PV-1 was the first navy bomber of its type to tackle the job of clearing Allied shipping lanes so that precious supplies may go through. Airfields on the small island outposts were big enough for the PV-1’s and droppable fuel tanks gave the planes effective range to blast the enemy. Included in the ad are some great artwork of the plane and information. The ad is on a 10x14 page and in color. It is very good condition with nice color and detail. Any waves in the photo are the result of the scanner and do not appear on the actual product. Your ad will be sent protected by a plastic sleeve with backboard.
