“Since telephone operators were boys,” is the headline of this 1949 original vintage advertisement for Western Electric, a unit of the Bell Telephone System.. The ad has nice art drawing of boy telephone operators from the early 1880’s. It was drawn by Lawrence Beall Smith, whose signature copy is in the lower right corner. A neat ad with a glimpse to the past.
The ad is on a 10x13 page and in color. It is in very good condition with nice color and detail. Your ad will be sent protected by a plastic sleeve with backboard.
Vintage advertisements and articles are becoming more and more collectible for their nostalgia look and unique eye-appeal. They also are suitable for framing and are becoming more scarce as the supply of vintage paper products continues to decrease. Please note this is an original, vintage product advertisement and NOT a reproduction.
