“Tale of Two Telephones” is the theme of this 1956 original vintage advertisement for Western Electric and the Bell System. Featured in the ad are 2 women talking on wall phones for different eras and how they compare. The one of the left had served the Boston City Hall for 64 years and was called "Old Faithful." See the scan.
A BONUS is the ad on the reverse side of the page is a feature advertisement for Havoline Motor Oil and Texaco Dealers. Featured in the ad is a Redstone Missile, at the time the largest missile to very fly that uses Havoline. Please see the scan.
REMEMBER: these are NOT 2 separate ads but the front and back of a SINGLE page.
It is being listed because of possible multiple interests or topics.
The ads are on a 10x13 page. They are in very good condition with nice color and detail. There is some edge aging.
Vintage advertisements and articles are becoming more and more collectible for their nostalgia look and unique eye-appeal. They also are suitable for framing and are becoming more scarce as the supply of vintage paper products continues to decrease. Please note this is an original, vintage product advertisement and NOT a reproduction.
