“A congressman from Missouri goes to hear what they are saying” is the theme of this 1943 original vintage magazine feature. Featured in the item are pictures and information about Missouri Congressman Max Schwabe of the 78th US Congress visiting persons and places in his district. There is a great photo of Schwabe on the porch of Jack Wickham, a sharecropper in the northern edge of the Ozark hills. See the scans.
REMEMBER: these are NOT 2 separate pictures but the front and back of a SINGLE page. They go together and are offered as such.
The pictures are on a 10x13 pages. They are in good to very good condition with nice detail and some aging from being in a 75-year-old magazine. There are some extreme edge tears.
Vintage advertisements and articles are becoming more and more collectible for their nostalgia look and unique eye-appeal. They also are suitable for framing and are becoming more scarce as the supply of vintage paper products continues to decrease. Please note this is an original, vintage product advertisement and NOT a reproduction.
