“Armaments in the Raw,“ is the theme of this 1944 WW2 era original vintage advertisement for big International Trucks. The ad features a nice art drawing of large green International Truck helping the mining efforts during the war. Please see the scan.
A BONUS is an advertisement on the reverse page for the American Meat Institute. Featured in the ad is a very neat art drawing of a boy playing with blocks, “building blocks of the body,” about conservation efforts during the war. There is also a small promo at the bottom for “The Life of Riley” show with William Bendix.
The ads are on a 10x13 page and in very good condition with nice detail. There is some edge aging.
REMEMBER: these are NOT 2 separate photos but the front and back of a SINGLE page. It is being listed because of possible multiple interests or topics.
Vintage advertisements and articles are becoming more and more collectible for their nostalgia look and unique eye-appeal. They also are suitable for framing and are becoming more scarce as the supply of vintage paper products continues to decrease.
