“Dear Sis, sure could go for one of Mom‘s bean Supper,“ is the theme of this WW2 original vintage advertisement for the Brewing Industrial Foundation. The ad features a soldier home pouring a glass of beer with Mom making a Bean Supper. There is also a small promo to write to soldiers of US Navy to help with their morale.
A BONUS is a ad on the reverse side of the page for Du Barry Beauty Preparations by Richard Hudnut. The ad features the title of “Blind Date,” and show a woman named Margaret Singleton in a “Link Trainer.” This was a small, sawed-off cockpit that never left the ground but taught about “blind flying,” or through fog or storms. An interesting ad!
Ads are 10x13 and in color. They are in very good condition with nice detail and color. There is some edge aging.
REMEMBER: these are NOT 2 separate items but the front and back of a SINGLE page. It is being listed because of possible multiple interests or topics.
Vintage advertisements and articles are becoming more and more collectible for their nostalgia look and unique eye-appeal. They also are suitable for framing and are becoming more scarce as the supply of vintage paper products continues to decrease.
