“For glamour and l‘amour there‘s nothing like a Jantzen” is the theme of this 1951 Original Vintage Advertisement for Jantzen swimsuits. The ad features a woman, mand a child in Jantzen cabana mates translated from the Tahitian. There is also a small promo for “Tan with Jan” oil or lotion. Please see the scan.
A BONUS is another neat item on the opposite side of the same page that is a salute to the “Unknown Soldier,“ by the John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company of Boston, Massachusetts. The ad features a a nice drawing of the bottom of the unknown soldier tomb with a shadow looking on with the words, “He is the stranger who is my brother.” A touching tribute follows in the text below. Quite moving!
Ads are 10x14 and in color. The ads are in very good condition with nice color and detail. There is some edge aging.
REMEMBER: these are NOT 2 separate items but the front and back of a SINGLE page. They are both being listed because of possible multiple interests or topics.
Vintage advertisements and articles are becoming more and more collectible for their nostalgia look and unique eye-appeal. They also are suitable for framing and are becoming more scarce as the supply of vintage paper products continues to decrease.
