This is an original movie ad from the 1944 romantic comedy film, “The Bridge of San Luis Rey,” starring Lynn Bari, Francis Leder and Akim Tamiroff. The film and novel are very loosely based on the real-life story of Micaela Villegas, a famous Peruvian entertainer known as La Perichole. It was directed by Rowland V. Lee.
Ad is on an 8x11 page and in partial color with the red dress and rose she is holding. It is only in fair to good condition with aging which has darkened the page and left edge tear. Please see the scan
