This is Lieutenant General Joseph W Stilwell who was part of a group of 5 major generals and soldiers that narrowly escaped capture by the Japanese in Burma during a retreat on May 23, 1942 who said, “We got run out of Burma and it is humiliating as hell.” The cover is 10x14 and is heavier than a normal magazine page. It is in good condition with some edge wear and tears. Please see the scan.
Please remember this is the magazine cover page ONLY and not the complete issue.
A BONUS is another ad on back of the same page for Parker “51“ ink pens. Shown in the ad is a Parker “51” ink pen with 2 couple in a car art drawing. It is the inside of a magazine cover and in good to very good information with some edge and wear tears.
REMEMBER: these are NOT 2 separate items but the front and back of a SINGLE page. They are both being listed because of possible multiple interests or topics.
Vintage advertisements and articles are becoming more and more collectible for their nostalgia look and unique eye-appeal. They also are suitable for framing and are becoming more scarce as the supply of vintage paper products continues to decrease. Please note this is an original, vintage product advertisement and NOT a reproduction.
