“Those planes will help Daddy Lick ‘em” is the theme of this 1942 original vintage advertisement salute by the Western Electric Bell Telephone Service. The ad features a mother and child looking on planes overheard with an explanation about how the planes need more aluminum and there will be less aluminum for new telephones. Very patriotic.
A BONUS is another vintage advertisement on the reverse side of the same for True Temper Home Hardware Products. The ad features several home hardware products that needed to be preserved for the war effort.
The ads are 10x14 and in very good condition. There is a small lower corner crease.
REMEMBER: these are NOT 2 separate items but the front and back of a SINGLE page. They are both being listed because of possible multiple interests or topics. They are both too nice for the buyer not to know about them.
Vintage advertisements and articles are becoming more and more collectible for their nostalgia look and unique eye-appeal. They also are suitable for framing and are becoming more scarce as the supply of vintage paper products continues to decrease.
