Talk about a unique wedding; this is it. On June 30, 1946 a lovesick flagpole sitter, “Mad Marshall” Jacobs, 37 and Yolanda “Lonnie” Cosmar, 21, a waitress was married on the top of a 176 mast pole in Coshocton, Ohio. 1700 persons watched in this feature with pictures. The perch cost Jacobs $3,000 of his war-plant earnings. One of the 2 pages is a full 10x14 page and shows the couple kissing. Please see the scans.
There are 2 separated vintage magazine pages in this story. They are in very good and collectible condition and not a reprint but original vintage magazine pages.
Vintage advertisements and pictures are becoming more and more collectible for their nostalgic look and eye appeal. They are also suitable for framing and are becoming scarcer as the supply of vintage paper products continue to decrease.
