“The Nelson Family,” was one of the most iconic and popular families of the 1950s and early 1960s. “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet,” aired on ABC from 1952 until 1966 after a successful run on radio. The Nelson family consisted of father-Ozzie, mother-Harriet, older son- David and young son-Rick Nelson who went on to a very successful music career even making a movie with John Wayne called, “Rio Brave.” Ricky Nelson tragically died in a plane crash in 1985 at the age of 45.
