This is an original 1959 movie advertisement for the drama film “Imitation of Life,” starring Lana Turner, John Gavin, Sandra Lee, Dan O’Herlihy, Susan Kohner, Robert Alds, Juanita Moore and Mahalia Jackson. The film was directed by Douglas Sirk and produced by Ross Hunter. It was Sirk's final Hollywood film and dealt with issues of race, class and gender.
