This is an original 1956 movie advertisement for the film noir “While the City Sleeps.” The film starred Dana Andrews, Rhonda Fleming, George Sanders, Howard Duff, Vincent Price, John Barrymore Jr. and Sally Forest. It was a Bert Friedlob and RKO Radio picture, directed by Fritz Lang and was based on the novel “Bloody Spur,” by Charles Einstein. The ad features of unique photo of a “Lipstick Murder,” with the words, “Ask Mother.”
PLEASE NOTE: this is an original, vintage movie ad on a single sheet of paper, and NOT a DVD or video.
A BONUS is another ad on the opposite side of the same page for Toastmaster Toasters. It features a C4 Powermatic Toaster and others in the ad.
Ads are 5.5x14 and in very good condition with some aging. Please see the scan.
REMEMBER: these are NOT 2 separate items but the front and back of a SINGLE page. They are both being listed because of possible multiple interests or topics.
Vintage television and movie pictures and ads are becoming more and more collectible for their nostalgia look and unique eye-appeal. They also are suitable for framing and are becoming scarcer as the supply of vintage paper products continues to decrease.
